How it works

  1. Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP picture (up to 60 MB).
  2. Move the slider and watch the estimated size. Open More options to choose a target size or a smaller image size.
  3. Choose Compress image, check the preview, then download the smaller copy.

  • If compressing would not make the file smaller, you get the original back.

Your files and privacy

Your file is processed in your browser, on your own device. It is not uploaded to PDFScanner's servers. PDFScanner counts basic usage, such as which tool was opened, but never sees what is inside your document.

Does compressing change my original photo?
No. You download a separate, smaller copy.
Can I turn several images into one PDF?
Yes. Use the image to PDF converter, then compress the PDF if it is still too big.
